A droopy leaf or brown patch on a fern or spruce is no match for Sandy Dayhoff and her neighbors at East Ridge at Cutler Bay senior living community. Together, this group of a dozen or so seniors puts their community's greenhouse to good use by reviving and selling native plants while creating an environment that also nurtures friendships. The greenhouse is located at East Ridge. It's home to countless orchids, mother in laws tongues, ferns, spruces, butterfly plants, and so much more. All East Ridge residents can use the space to grow, donate and rejuvenate their own plants.
